The Ultimate Itinerary for Southern Spain

Hello, friends! Now, this is a bit of a random post considering I travelled to southern Spain in May of 2016. Yes, you read that correctly. I went to Spain on a girl’s trip almost 3 years ago. But, when people ask me what my all-time favorite trip has been, I always say Spain (and my honeymoon!).

Lucky for you, I somehow found the itinerary I created for my girls trip to southern Spain and I’m going to share it with you all! I highly, highly recommend you visit this incredible country, but please don’t try to see the entire thing in one trip. We were in Spain for almost two weeks and saw just a small portion of the country’s incredible beauty and culture.

I have included links throughout this post, directly to Booking.com search results that should help with your travel planning! So, without further ado, take a peek at the ultimate itinerary for southern Spain!

Traveling to Spain

We (my mom, aunt, and I) flew from Boston to Madrid, with a layover in London. From Madrid, we flew to our first official destination, Seville! My sister was studying abroad for a semester in Seville, so we met her there to begin our journey.

If you can fly directly into Seville at an affordable price, I recommend that you do that and save yourself the hassle of another flight. However, it was less expensive for us to fly round-trip between Boston and Madrid, as Madrid is the final destination of this itinerary.

Also, everyone knows that travel, particular international travel, can really mess with your sleep! Check out this post for a little advice: Tuck’s Travel Sleep Guide.
