Life Update: Wedding, Travel, and Blog News!

Hello, friends! I’m so glad to finally be back in action on this blog. A whole month has gone by since my last post, and in that time, a few big changes have happened to me! If you follow me on Instagram (you should!) and previously read this blog, then you know I am a newlywed! 🙂 I have been posting a bunch of honeymoon pictures because I JUST CANT STOP! Plus, I would really like to be back on that tiny island off the coast of Belize. It beats work, let me tell ya. I am definitely ready to get back to your regularly scheduled programming though, and will resume posting on here twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday. And with that, here’s a quick recap of my life the past month!

If you missed my previous wedding blog posts, check them out here! I will be posting in a lot more detail over the next couple weeks, so stay tuned.

Our Wedding

On June 23rd, in beautiful NH, surrounded by family and friends, I finally became Mrs. Navedo! It’s still so crazy to me that Jarrett and I are married, but honestly, it doesn’t feel a ton different. Jarrett and I have lived together for almost three years, so that was nothing new. It is very nice to look down at his hand and see a wedding band. Plus, I don’t think I will ever get tired of him calling me “wifey.” We did receive all of our wedding pictures today (*eek!*), but I’m just going to share a few here. Guess you will just have to check back for my more detailed blog posts!

If you have any posts you would 100% like to see, be sure to let me know in the comments below! I have had a few requests for posts on splurge vs. save, would we have done anything differently, FAQ, etc.

Our Honeymoon

Jarrett and I jetted off to Belize the Monday after our wedding and spent 10 days in the beautiful country. We spent the first half on Caye Caulker, which is an island off of Belize City. The second half of our trip was spent at a jungle lodge near the Guatemalan border. Two very different experiences, but both amazing! We returned to the States on July 4th, and made it back home on the 5th. The last couple days off of work were spent organizing the house, unpacking, opening presents, and doing laundry. Lots of laundry.

Again, more detailed posts are coming! I just wanted to pop on here and share a brief update since I have been absent for so long. I missed chatting with you guys! What types of honeymoon topics would you like??

Check out more of our travel here.

Family Update

Lots of exciting things are happening on the Schappler side of the family this year! My sister is getting married in December, in Charleston, SC! So, as far as that goes, you can expect posts on planning a bridal shower, bachelorette, being the best MOH, etc. The wedding content is never going to end around here haha

Also, my brother just proposed to his long-time girlfriend and we are so excited to finally welcome her into the family! They’re thinking another NH wedding is in the works, and I am so excited to have another excuse to jet up to New England.

Blog Update

Posts will resume a regular routine of Tuesdays and Fridays. The next couple are going to be primarily wedding/honeymoon-related, so I hope you are ready for a bunch of pictures!!

I am working with a few companies at this time, so be sure to follow me on Instagram for details surrounding a giveaway or two 🙂

Also, I promise I am going to work on creating a subscribe feature on this blog. I know many of you have very busy lives and might not necessarily have the time to pop on here a couple times a week. This is at the top of my priority list!

Please let me know what types of content you would like to see. Do you want more travel? Recipes? Are you sick of wedding posts? Let me know, because I don’t want to be the only one interested in what I’m writing 🙂

I’ll catch back up with you all Friday, for a breakdown of our 4-day wedding weekend!
