Current Workout Routine and Most-Loved Fitness Apparel

Hello, hello! Was one of your resolutions/intentions for 2018 to have a healthier lifestyle or begin to workout? Working on my “fitness lifestyle” is always a goal of mine, so I thought I would chat about my current workout split. I’m also going to share some of my favorite workout apparel and the items I’m currently coveting, because cute fitness clothing goes a long way in motivating me to get my butt to the gym!
What do you do to stay in shape? What are your favorite forms of activity? Favorite workout clothes? Let me know in the comments below so I can change up my routine from time to time!

Current Workout Split

Towards the end of 2017, I wasn’t the most motivated to workout or eat very clean. Am I alone in feeling that? I was really on top of my game most of the year… well probably through August and then it went downhill after my birthday. I had the same workout routine that I am about to cover, but was not consistent in making it to the gym, or just got through my workouts instead of really pushing myself.
2018 brings a fresh start and a renewed motivation to improve my health, not to mention the motivation that our wedding is giving me!

Here is how my workout schedule breaks down:
Upper Body Twice per Week: One workout focused on chest and shoulders, with the second focused on back and shoulders
Lower Body Twice per Week: One workout focused on hamstrings/glutes, with the second focused on quads
Cardio-Focus Twice per Week: Mostly steady-state, with bursts of jogging (currently working on my mile time)
Rest Day Once per Week
The days I complete these can change week to week, depending on my work schedule, but I never do two of the same days in a row. My rest day is typically Thursday, because that’s my 11 hour shift at work and there’s just no way I’m getting my booty to the gym after that!

Fitness Apparel: Currently Wearing

I’m a creature of habit when it comes to brands I love, so when I find something, I tend to stick with it. I find most of my workout gear at Target or T.J. Maxx/Marshalls, because they are the true loves of my life.
Tops: Gap, Marika Tek, and Reebok
Sports Bras: Reebok, the Champion line at Target, and New Balance
Leggings: Reebok and 90 degree by Reflex
Shoewear: Nike and Reebok
