The Best Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Happy Thursday! Monday’s post was all about Whole30 and healthy eating, so I figured I would flip things around and bring you the best chocolate chip banana bread recipe! This is one of my all-time favorite things to bake and it always gets rave reviews. In fact, when I make it for my family, I don’t think it lasts more than the day. It’s plain and simple, just that good.
I feel like everyone, at one time or another, has bananas that have become too speckled to want to eat. Cue this recipe! I have only ever made this bread with semi-sweet chocolate chips, but you could mix it up with white and dark chocolate, peanut butter chips, adding nuts, etc. And, if you feel like being “healthy-ish,”, just leave out the chocolate. But why would you ever want to do that?… 🙂
Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
1/2 stick butter, softened
2/3 cups white sugar
2 or 3 ripe bananas
1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
semi-sweet chocolate chips
Use a fork to mash the bananas and mix with butter, eggs, and sugar.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until blended together.
Add chocolate chips! (minimum 1/2 cup)
Grease bread pan and bake at 350 degrees until the center comes out clean. Approximately 30 minutes for small loaves and 50 minutes for regular loaves.
Wait to cool, then slice, and enjoy!
