Can you believe it is already October?! Up until this week, it was still regularly in the 80s in southern Virginia. Luckily, this week has brought in cooler, crisper air, and it finally feels like fall has arrived! Here’s a peak at the products, food, and lifestyle goodies I discovered, and subsequently loved, in September!

Foodie Finds

Pumpkin Spice Everything

September was all about the pumpkin spice flavored treats for me. And I have no doubt this will continue to be a trend into October.

Top prize goes to Pumpkin Spice Oreos. I have a strange obsession with trying all the seasonal Oreo flavors, and these were a solid 8.5/10. I also tried Pumpkin Spice Milano’s this month, and while tasty, did not stand up to the Oreos. I’d give them a 6.5/10. A solid option, but you really only need one pumpkin cookie, and Oreos win. Even Axle couldn’t stay away!

I also tried Hood’s Pumpkin Spice Egg Nog. And oh my goodness, I was so excited to see egg nog before the holiday season. I think I squealed when Jarrett pointed them out in the store. Like not a cute squeal, but a squeal that says I am so happy and embarrassed I’m this happy. Oh well. I tried to drink this in small doses considering the calorie count (a whopping 180 calories per 4 ounce serving), but let’s be real. It was consumed within the week.

Premier Protein

I did try some healthier items this month, with this pre-made protein shake being one of them. I have previously heard about these shakes, but was always turned away by the price. Target, however, always comes to the rescue and had these bad boys on the Cartwheel app for 25% off. Tell me no more. I picked up the chocolate flavor, which tastes surprisingly rich considering the insanely low sugar content. Only 1 gram! Here’s hoping Target continues to stock these. There’s a strawberries and cream flavor I want to try next!

It looks like these can also be purchased on Amazon and as a Prime Member, I may need to take advantage of this!

Premier Protein 30g Protein Shake, Chocolate, 11 fl oz Bottle, (4 Count)

RX Bar

RxBar Real Food Protein Bars Variety Pack, 8 Flavors, 16 Count

I think I am late to the party with these snack/protein bars, but I finally tried a few flavors this month and was pleasantly surprised! As the label shows, RX bars are made with only whole ingredients, which I am really learning to appreciate. I have so far tried Chocolate Sea Salt, Blueberry, and Peanut Butter, and would gladly pick any of those up again! Also, if you are trying the Whole 30 “diet,” I’m pretty sure these are plan-approved! Which is good to know, since I may be trying this “diet” out in the next couple months…

Beauty

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion, 1 fl. oz.

This is my first introduction to the Mario Badescu Skin Care line and I’m so excited to try other products in the future. I’m trying to get my skin more under control, so I can establish and maintain a skin care routine leading up to our wedding. I just dip a cotton swab into the bottle to grab the drying formula at the bottom. Definitely don’t shake the solution! Then, I just press the tip of swab to any pimples that pop up, and they seem to disappear within a few days!

Tokyo Milk “Dead Sexy” Perfume Sample

Tokyo Milk Parfumarie Curiosite 06 Dead Sexy 1.0 oz Eau de Parfum Spray

I received this sample of perfume in a Birchbox subscription box earlier this year and somehow just got around to trying it. I am terrible at describing how things smell, but just believe me when I tell you this is the epitome of a “sexy” perfume. The product description is “Romantic & Ethereal: Deep Vanilla, Exotic Wood, White Orchid, Ebony.” I just know that when this sample runs out, you can bet I will be purchasing the bottle!

Clothing

Maroon T-shirt from “Pink Rose”

If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably already seen this adorable shirt! I picked it up from Marshall’s towards the end of August, and have not stopped wearing it. It’s incredibly soft and has such a cute criss-cross detail along the neckline. Half the time I find myself looking to wear it again, only to find it is in the laundry. Because I wore it two days ago.

Technology

New iPhone 7 and Popsocket

PopSockets: Expanding Stand and Grip for Smartphones and Tablets – White Marble

Earlier this month, Jarrett’s phone was steadily going downhill. Once it reached the point of having to reset the phone daily, he decided it was time to upgrade. And we decided it was probably time for me to leave my parents family plan. They were pleased because I was using all the data… and I was pleased because I now have unlimited data! And a much better iPhone camera.

One of my patients gave me the Popsocket as a birthday gift and chose it to match my case! I thought it was the sweetest, so when I got my new phone, I made sure to purchase the same case. I never knew I needed a Popsocket until I had one. I don’t use it to hold my phone that much, but I wrap my headphones around it and use it to prop my phone up all the time.

Preview app for iPhone

When I decided to start this blog, I also decided to focus more on social media. Everything I was reading stated that it was important to “theme” your Instagram for a cohesive look. People then associate the feel of your Instagram and blog, with your brand. This app helps plan a cohesive layout for future Instagram posts. I can edit, rearrange, and post pictures directly from the app. It also has a way to schedule posts, but I have not utilized that function yet. This app was free and so far, has been a huge help in keeping up with Instagram!

Alright friends, that wraps up September. These will be a monthly feature, so I hope you enjoyed this post and found a few products you want to try! Let me know any of your favorites from September in the comments below!
