Pinterest-Worthy Fall Recipe Round-Up

Happy Friday, friends! Can you believe that tomorrow is the first official day of fall? As a girl who loves autumn, I am very excited about everything this season has in store! To the weather gods out there, I would appreciate a sunny, 60-degree afternoon sometime soon. Please, and thank you.

Despite the continued warm temperatures around here, I am in full-on fall feasting mode. I already have chowder on the dinner menu for next week and have definitely made the season’s first pumpkin bread. I love the hearty food that fall and winter allow, thanks in part to the seasonal produce and baggy sweaters. Ha!

I have pulled together recipes from Pinterest that just shout “fall food” to me! Be sure to follow me for recipes, travel inspiration, wedding details, and more!

Tell me what your favorite part about fall is and/or what you are looking forward to cooking this season. 🙂

Hearty Dinners

Crockpot Chicken Gnocchi Soup

This recipe is courtesy of Lindsay, the blogger behind Pinch of YumI love her website and all of the recipes I have tried have been amazing! I wonder if you could substitute the Trader Joe’s cauliflower gnocchi that I mentioned here… That might make this a bit of a lighter dish if that’s what you’re looking for.

Creamy Sausage Pasta with Butternut Squash

I like to take advantage of seasonal foods when cooking, if possible, and butternut squash always pops up during fall! Plus, with pasta and sausage, it seems like a winning dish to me! There seem to be a lot of other recipes over on Homemade Interest as well.

One Pan Pork Chops with Apples and Onions

Now, Jarrett and I are not really pork chop people. We maybe eat pork tenderloin once every couple months, but I don’t know if I have ever cooked pork chops. But, pork chops with apples is something that I had growing up and seems to be a great way to use apples you’ve freshly picked! Amanda, from The Chunky Chef, made clean up a breeze too, using only one pan. Something Jarrett will appreciate, since he does the dishes in this household.

Chipotle Bourbon Pumpkin Chili

Fall = football around here and football= chili. Spicing it up with pumpkin just makes it perfect for autumn eating! Kristen has a ton of other recipes over at The Endless Meal.

One Pot Harvest Chicken Skillet

This easy chicken dish brings in all things fall, from walnuts to apples and brussel sprouts! It seems like the ingredients include a perfect mix of savory and sweet. Can’t wait to try this one from Family Food on the Table!

Seasonal Snacks

Homemade Soft Pretzels

I am a girl that loves carbs. And a salty, soft pretzel, is right up my alley! Plus, pretzels scream Oktoberfest, which is perfect for this time of year! Try out this recipe from Kleinworth & Co.

Baked Cinnamon Sugar Apple Chips

Excess apples from your orchard adventures? Turn them into a sweet, but healthy treat for when you’re on the go with this recipe from The Recipe Critic! I love fruit chips and if there’s cinnamon sugar involved, I’m in.

Pumpkin Spice Popcorn

Jarrett and I are not movie people, but when it comes to Halloween, I love themed films! Hocus Locus, Halloweentown, etc. Just nothing too scary. Ha! I really enjoy a good bowl of popcorn and think this recipe from Cakies sounds delicious.

Pumpkin Spice Protein Balls

I LOVE a good protein/energy ball and these look amazing! The ingredients are clean and you probably already have most of them in your pantry. It certainly seems like Momma Fit Lyndsey got this one right.

Check out the energy balls I have made: Chocolate PB Cup, Chocolate Banana, Peanut Butter & Jelly

Butternut Squash Hummus

Not into super sweet foods? Here’s a savory dip you can whip up courtesy of Minimalist Baker.

Delightful Desserts

Frosted Pumpkin Cookies

Holy moly. These cookies from The Girl Who Ate Everything look incredible! If you are a fan of pumpkin and a fan of cream cheese frosting, you need to bake these up ASAP.

Maple Caramel Carrot Cake

If you have a little more time on your hands and a bunch of people looking to chow down on some fall-inspired treats, this cake from Liv for Cake, would be perfect! Again, cream cheese frosting tops it off and that automatically makes it a “yes, please!” from me.

Caramel Apple Tart

In the mood for an apple dessert, but sick of apple crisp or pie? Check out this tart recipe from Milk and Cardamom!

Pumpkin Spice Trifle

I feel like this would be another real crowd pleaser. It looks incredibly easy to make, with basic ingredients, so I kind of feel like you can’t go wrong! Thanks Love Bakes Good Cakes!

Paula Deen’s Apple Pie

Last, but not least, the classic fall dish! Homemade apple pie with vanilla ice cream will always conjure up memories of Thanksgiving.
